This blog doubles as an Alison Krauss' boobs appreciation blog because for some reason, when you do a Google search for Alison's boobs, my blog is generally the first relevant result. I don't know how this happened, but I will accept it. If people are gonna be googling her boobs, better they find the blog of a fangirl expressing solidarity than that of some skeezy dude objectifying her.

I will start off by saying it’s because it’s an Angelina Jolie film (not as in acted, but as in directed). I will now direct you to my best friend. Who happens to be Bosnian.

Uhh, okaaaay.
My first problem with the film is that it’s told from a mostly Serbian perspective. Which that in itself is bullshit because who tells the story from the side of the people who started the Genocide. I’m sorry, are you trying to make me have sympathy for mass murderers? LOL, not gonna happen.
Secondly, it doesn’t tell the entire story. It kinda has the war as a backdrop to the love story. That is also bullshit because the mass killing and genocide of the Bosnian people is not a fucking supporting actress to whatever silly story you’re trying to tell.
Thirdly, the movie has a love story. Who makes a fucking movie about a genocide and the focus point is some dumb bitch in love with a Serbian soldier (who kinda rapes her toward the end there)
You know who does all that? Angelina Jolie. And then she has the nerve to say it’s a movie about the Bosnian Genocide and act like she’s doing Bosnia a fucking favor.
Nailed it.
Ahhh, okay. I was excited when I heard about it because a major film about the genocide! With actual Bosnians! In Bosnian!
But then I heard that it was a ~love story~ and was like “oh.” And I heard it was kinda rapey, too.
Upsetting.
